Saturday Karate class and workout.

Two each of Heian Shodan, Heian Nidan, Heian Sandan and Heian Yondan. Three each of Heian Godan and Tekki Shodan. (14 total)

Good class.

We did lots of basics again, much like Tuesday. My side thrust kicks are starting to really come alive. They are much more powerful and at or above belt level.

We did a good amount of one-step sparring. My Sensei told me a little different way to do it and instead of shifting to the side, I am shifting forward and diagonal so that I end up almost behind my partner. I can cover a lot more distance than when I shift sideways.

We finished up with kata. I need to work on the I go from the front punch to the opposite direction with the downward block. I am bring my arm up too high and not executing the downward block the right way.
